Description:

The Iona Symphonic Wind Ensemble is open to students in Years 7 to 12 with previous concert band or approximately 3 years or more playing experience. The ensemble incorporates woodwind, brass and percussion. The Iona Symphonic Wind Ensemble gives students an opportunity to perform a wide range of musical repertoire at a higher level. It is preferable that members have private lessons to ensure the band progresses throughout the year, so we can play a wide variety of pieces. Students will play repertoire from a variety of music including popular, musicals, classical and symphonic genres. Please contact the Music Department regarding membership or suitability for ensemble.
